Opportunities to Promote Suicide Prevention – Volunteers Needed

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The Berrien County Suicide Prevention Coalition has many opportunities to promote suicide prevention. These opportunities come from invitations to have our display table with material at events in our community. But we need volunteers to help us take advantage of these opportunities. We need people to be at our display to represent the Coalition. Listed below are the events:

  • 52nd Community Services Round Table, Berrien County Health Department, Sept 6, 8:00 to Noon

  • LMC’s student annual resource week, Sept 10 & 11, 11:30 am - 2 pm

  • Suicide Prevention and Recovery Event in Cassopolis, Sept 7, 10 am - 2 pm

  • National Recovery Month Event by Harbortown Treatment Center, Sept. 12, 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm at Dwight Pete Mitchell City Center Park in Benton Harbor

  • Riverwood Recovery Picnic, Benton Township Park, Sept. 14, Noon - 4pm

  • Berrien County Veteran Stand Down, Hidden Point Event Center, Sept. 20, 9 am - 1 pm

  • STAY; Your Story’s Not Over 5K Run/Walk, Baroda, Sept. 21, 8 am - 1pm

  • Carol’s Hope Recovery Life Rally, St. Joseph, Sept.28, 11 am - 3 pm

If you can help at one or more of these events for part or all of the time, please let us know by sending an email to berriencaresmi@gmail.com.
