New Local Outpatient Clinic for Behavioral Health Services

Updated: Jan 25

The Berrien County Suicide Prevention Coalition is excited to share the following news about a new resource in our community. Here is an announcement from Emily Cooper, manager of the new clinic.

The Pine Rest Lakeland Clinic, located at the Center for Outpatient Treatment in St. Joseph, is a new clinic for outpatient behavioral health services in our local community. This clinic has immediate openings for behavioral health therapy for those ages 8 and older. This clinic also provides short-term medication services for adults in collaboration with their primary care physician.

Counseling:

To begin counseling, individuals simply need to call our office and we will set them up for in-person or telehealth services. If someone needs specialty services we do not provide, we will assist them in obtaining this service.

Medication:

Individuals needing medication need a referral from their primary care physician. We strive to schedule first appointments within seven days and see patients for a maximum of five visits to stabilize them on medications prior to transferring them back to their primary care physician for ongoing care.

Insurance and Scheduling

We are actively taking referrals for patients with commercial insurance, Medicare and most managed Medicaid. If there are specific questions regarding insurance, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
